Kia Sportage New Shape

Hi,

I am looking to replace my Grand Cherokee with a Kia Sportage 2.0 CRDi Automatic AWD. I know it will not have the pull of the Jeep but............

I tow an Abbey Expression (1375Kg - I think) and from the information that the Sportage brochure states I believe it will manage quite well. 235Lb/ft Torque Max Kerbweight 1787Kg but it also states a minimum Kerbwieght of 1676Kg. How can it have two kerbweights

Am I right in this assumption that it will pull ok?.

Brochures usually cover a number of model variants with some factory fitted options so if you buy the base model with no add ons it will be the lower weight and if you buy top of the range with all the options it will be the higher weight. There is no problem either with kerbweight or pulling power given your figures above (taking 1375 as MTPLM). I have no accurate data about max towing weight which should be OK but should also be checked.
