Hi
Just returned from Kingsbury Water Park. Had a great time, the staff were fantastic. The site was very clean and the heated floors in the showers were a real treat at especially at this time of year. The walks around the water were park easily accessible for the young and old alike. We were told about the traffic noise from the near by M42 but we hardly noticed it. We will definatley be going back.

Glad you enjoyed Kingsbury, it is one of our favourite sites which we use quite regularly.
We hav ealways found the staff to be excellent and as you say, the facilities are very good.
We will be there again in January for a couple of weeks.

Hi, We have thought of going to Kingsbury site but with me being in a wheelchair did wonder what the canals or water parks etc. are like for us wheelchairers. Would love to visit the site. The site itself would be no problem cos C/CC sites are well suitable for wheelchairs etc. Just wondered about the walks and surrounding area.

Erica, if you have Google Earth, type in Kingsbury Water Park and have a look around the area.
It is all level, with good access roads and well kept, should not be a problem for a chair.

Hi Erica, As you say the campsite itself is no problem but getting round most of the lakes maybe. We pushed a buggy round some of them and managed it. They are stoning some pathways and making parking bays near to some of the lakes probably for fishing not just disabled. Just a short drive up the road(about 2 mins) is the actual Kingsbury Water Park which is for general public but costs £3 to park a car it maybe free to blue badge holders. This area is easily accessible and has pathways. We have never revisited a site yet but will be going back next year. Definatley worth a visit.

I live local to Kingsbury Water park and would agree with all the previous posts, the only warning i would give is that at certain times of the year the midges/mossies are vicious and you feel like you are being eaten alive so take repellent.

We went to Kingsbury in April as a base for a visit to the NEC - lovely site and we are definately going to go back there again.
Was about 20 mins from the NEC, 10 mins from Drayton Manor (we went and got soaked on the water ride lol) and about 10 mins from a large shopping centre at Tamworth. Yes there is some road noise but not enough to be intrusive.
