Kitchen tap microswitch

Hi All

Great forum.

Please help - I have an Abbey Aventura 2003.

The kitchen mixer tap has started to leak with the possibility of water getting to the microswitch.

This now means that the pump runs continually whether the taps are on or not.

Can someone advise if I have to take the fridge out to gain access or is there a screw in the top of the tap which enables access.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Stephen, You need to take out the sink to access the tap connections, not a big job, there should be 4 black screw covers in the sink were the glass top sits, remove these and the screws, take the screw out of the sink drain, then slowly remove the sink, that will allow you to get at the tap connections. Replace in reverse, add word of warning be careful to get the gasket around the sink edge in the correct position, and do not over tighten the screw in the sink drain,if you get it to tight it will crack the body of the drain away and pass waste water all over the fridge top electrics.
