Hi we're looking to stay in the Lake Garda area in August for two weeks and wondered if anyone could recommend a really good site for us. We have two kids aged 10 and 13 and have a twin axle 7.7m van so would like easy access and a large pitch, can anyone help please?

many thanks.

Hi Philip

We have stayed a couple of times on Camping Piani di Clodia near Lazise and like it very much. A big site with two good pool complexes. Big enough to be able to pitch in an area with lots going on or a quieter area if you prefer. Choose the fully serviced pitches and they are of a very good size. Lots of pitches have good shade from the sun.

There is a direct access to the beach at the bottom of the site. Good restaurant. There is entertainment if that's your thing (not ours so we pitch far enough away so as not to be disturbed).

The site has a lot of comings and goings in season so pitches come free all day all over the site. When you arrive at reception they park you up and take two of you on a tour around the site in a golf buggy to find a pitch you like. When you find one you leave one person on the pitch to guard it and the other person is taken back to reception to get the outfit.

Cheers
