I use a sony Vaio with Vista ultimate on it. I have a usb TV stick with "diversity". this doubles the reception and gives a great picture.

But, Any decent laptop with a TV stick will do the job.

I have a Dell Inspirion 15" wide screen plus a little box which acts as the TV receptor. You can even record programmes too !

The only problem can be the LCD screen creating a negative sort of image if you are looking from the wrong angle but the advantage of portability and multi use cancel out the negatives by far. I haven't bothered taking our 12 volt colour TV in a few years.

In fact, pretty much any laptop will work.

I don't watch TV, but do use a laptop for watching DVD's, which have a higher resolution, and I use a Thinkpad 770. This has a Pentium 233 processor, though for best results it needs to have a graphics co-processor card.

If you're using a USB tuner, make sure the laptop has USB2 - otherwise you can get PCMCIA tuners.

You might also want to think about digital, as analogue is vanishing in some areas V soon.
