Hello Richard

You do not say how small the TV is. I have a 'small' 17" flat screen mounted on a bracket in the kitchen at home, but used conventionally in the van.

I think it is most unlikely that you could achieve a secure mounting. The bracket and tv are surprising heavy and would likely destroy any wall or cabinet mounting through movement when travelling, as a solid fix for all 4 bracket screws would be a problem?

You should also check the tv bracket mounting points, as these may be into plastic components rather than metal and may also fail when travelling

My experience has been the opposite to Chris's

I have 2 15in LCD Tv and like most of them they are designed for optional wall mounting with 4 standard screw mounting points on the back

I have a TV bracket in the form of an arm that clamps with 2 clamps onto the end of the worktop in the Oklahoma near to the sink

It is adjustable for reach and angles sideways and up and down.

It is positioned on the worktop edge so that it will fold flat against the caravan side and rests on a small bracket with a strap to hold it in place on tow.

It can be covered with the side window curtains for security when the van is vacated

The whols assembly is very neat and extremely robust.

I got it from cpc by mail order and with postage + VAT it cost about

John

I didn't mean to suggest that the brackets are a problem-quite the reverse, the one I have is very sturdy. How did you fix to the caravan wall or cabinet? I didn't think a wall fix would work unless you could identify solid timber, and cabinet structures are often hollow although thick ply is sometimes used.I note that you have taken the precaution of using a support and securing strap which would seem essential

Hi Chris

The bracket I have has a clamp for fitting onto a table or work top end

It has 2 screws that clamp upwards onto the end of the worktop.

my friend has one on the cupboard side in his Adria van and he has reinforced inside the cupboard with 1/2in this ply

The support and strap are used on tow

regards
