Hi guys,
If you need to run a 12 volt appliance - TV, radio, whatever - directly from a 12 volt supply, then take a look at the Calira Phonomat SK range of power stabilisers.
These products do several things:
1. Connect into the caravan "12 volt" system and provide a filtered, stabilised and exactly controlled 12 volt supply
2. Automatically detects when the input voltage is greater than 13 volts (whilst the battery is charging) and stabilises the voltage to a pure 12 volts
3. Automatically detects when the input voltage is less than 13 volts (no hook up) and passes the battery 12 volts without loss.
I got to hear of these power supply devices helping out another Eriba owner who had personally imported an Eriba from Germany - and it had a Phonomat SK50 installed.
The Movera web-site (owned by Hymer) sell these - and ship to the UK - but they may be available in the UK anyway.

The downside - they're not cheap but will stop you from zapping your TV - because unfiltered battery charging isn't compatible with sensitive electronic appliances.
