leaking awning

Hi

Im quite new to caravaning and I have a isabela opus awning which I got it new, the second time I used it it leaked water in through one of the side walls. The only thing I could think of is because the side wall was a bit flappy and the wind and rain was driving against it very hard. The side wall was angled like it should be. Can any one please tell me is this some thing I should expect in extreme weather or does it need water proofing or is this something I should take up with the manufacturers

Thanks

Phil

Hi Philip

I agree with Sir Rog, same thing happened to us first time with a brand new awning. Bad weather follows us everywhere. LOL!

Hi Philip

I asked the same question a few weeks ago Awning being used first time in rain. I had the rain coming through via the awning rail...last week Isle Wight chucking it down like stair rods wind blowing a gale but no leak from awning rail. Apparently after the first time it gets wet it expands slightly and makes a better seal.Hope that helps
