leaking taps

I have a 2000 Ranger 525/5 as a 'seasonal' on a site on Hayling Island called Fishery Creek.
The kitchen tap (mixer) was leaking so I decided to purchase new (£64.99). As I am not too supple having had both knees replaced I called an engineer to fit the new tap (£45 including call out fee). The next day the tap was dripping again. Engineer too busy to attend anytime soon. What to do??
