leaky roof light

Hi folks

We have a leak on the rear roof light. Can we change a re seal this from the inside??? swift 510
thanks

It may be possible if the old mastic is in such bad condition that the rooflight will lift off easily, otherwise you need to get to the roof to prise the rooflight away.
Clean up the old mastic on the rooflightand van roof, apply new mastic to the top part of the rooflight and reassemble.

Hi smiley,
Here's is a link to a "you tube" video on how to refix and reseal a roof light. It does refer to the rooflight on a campervan ( motorhome) but you may find a similar one on your Swift. Anyway it should give you the general idea.
Thanks and credit to one of the regulars on this forum with the nick of "Sprocket" who originally posted the link to a similat topic a month or two ago.
