Hi Tony, i am new to forums so if my usage appears improper please forgive me.
"Light Emitting Diode" are not bulbs in the usual sense, They have tremendous potential in the caravanning world. as they emit light without the drawbacks of heat and fragility.
It is HARD to break one compared to bulbs, you can drop them onto the floor and they still work.
They only draw a fraction of a "WATT" to shine, so a LED light can be left on for many hours and still only consume the same current that a traditional lamp would use in MINUTES.
Over the years i have fitted leds to my caravans with no problems of any kind, early projects included indicators of switches left on "Awning light still on" the led shone on the ceiling. Testing the 7 core cables N and S. Very low lighting at night from bed to wc. Down lighting bulb replacement, last year the WHITE leds were blue-ish and this year brilliant white (warmer). all i have planned for this winter is a disco arrangement in the roof vent (Omnivent).
As i write two little friends flash RED then Blue inside our unattended Abbey caravan.
