I don’t have my wider to hand to measure it, but the “ across the flats” dimension of the shank must be close to the 10mm max chuck size on that ?

My adapter fits perfectly and winds the legs up and down.

This is the type I had which fitted my cordless drill. Although to be honest I rarely took it with me.

Been and got the drill/driver from Lidl. 350rpm slow, 1300rpm fast, max torque 35Nm. Nice tool, fits easily in the hand, well balanced and quiet. I also have one of the thicker drill attachment devices (well, two actually!) which is specified as 10mm and fits in the chuck with room to spare. Comes with a 2Ah Lithium battery and a charger all in a decent case albeit a case not quite big enough to fit the drill attachment!
The main benefit I see is that unlike when using a Bosch (54Nm?) or a DeWalt (62Nm), when the foot you are winding up hits the stop and the drill keeps on turning with you/your hand on the end of it this one will not turn so fast or with so much power thus saving your wrist!! (Been there, done that etc etc.)

(Been there, done that etc etc.)

Have you not heard. These things now come with adjustable torque setting to prevent you doing exactly that, or overtightening screws etc.

The really good thing about this, which hasnt been mentioned (yet) is that its NOT an impact driver! Why oh why do people even contemplate using an impact driver rather than just a drill/driver. Not everyone wants to hear a gatling gun at 7am 🙄 Its so unnecessary to use such a brutish device on steady legs anyway. Is it just me???

Yes for 20 notes you cant go wrong. Now i can leave my Dewalt at home, and if this one gets half inched i wont be losing sleep. Also comes with 3 year warranty!

Largely I would agree Andy, but setting the torque is a compromise if your van legs are a bit stiff. You end up with torque set to maximum and the drill can still suddenly wind round your hand as the leg hits the stop. That was what happed with me and my DeWalt and 62Nm of torque. This Lidl machine is only 35Nm which will still be enough to wind a stiff leg but less likely to damage your hand/wrist.
I will report back when we get back from our first trip.
