Legs on the caravan

Hi everyone, hope your all having a nice weekend!

I have a quick question....

The size of the socket that is used to lower the legs on a caravan, are they all a universal size or can they differ on each make and model of caravan?

Thanks in advance.

Yes the caravan steadies ("Legs") are usually made by the chassis manufacture and Alko are by far the biggest producer for UK caravans.

You may find this extension handy . Use it with a battery drill. 19 mm. Go slow to avoid whip back at the end!

Google "socket adapter for drill" most HW stores sell them typically in set of 3 sizes. Standard 50mm length worked for my caravan.

Don't over extent legs and damage caravan body. . Best use drill on screwdriver setting with torque setting you will need to find by comparing to manual winder. Once you start using drill there is no going back to manual winder.
