Leisure Batteries

Is it safe/advisable to charge above with an ordinary charger?

I have just bought a charger to keep my caravan battery topped up. I could not find any that were specifically for leisure batteries..... I bought this......from Halfords

A basic charger will not charge and provide a maintenance charge over a long period.....ie, the winter

Huy Guys I have seen on this forum a thread related to this problem but where it is I dont know .

All I can tell you is my battery is now 8 years old and after each winter I have if needed it brought it home and charged it up on an 11 amp charger.

Maybe it will go down this year I dont know ,I think it must have been a reall y good one to start with
