Leisure Battery Terminals

Been looking at leisure batteries on the net, with a view to replacing ours. On some there are four terminals but I can't seem to find out why? Can anyone help?

Batteries with four terminals are often intended as marine batteries, ie engine starting and deep cycle - the four terminals are to allow seperate connections for each use.
