Leveling

Hi Oscartrix, if your meaning your running out of height with the jockey wheel fully extended, then, handbrake on. Then raise the van as high as you can get it on the jockey wheel, lower the front stays, then wind the jockey wheel back up again, lower the jockey wheel as low as you can, secure it and raise the van again, lower the front stays again, you will probably need blocks to fit. And watch you don't ground out the back end of the caravan.

As Hutch says, it sounds like you just need to lower the jockey wheel assembly with respect to the A-frame. It’s something I always need to do when levelling the van on our drive due to the inclination. I don’t wind the front steadies down, but lift the front end of the van up by lifting the hitch by hand whilst a family member (quickly 😛 ) unclamps, lowers, and reclamps the jockey wheel assembly.

Once you have sorted out the best clamped height of the jockey wheel, mark the stem of the jockey wheel just above the A frame fairing. Use electrical tape or a waterproof marker.
Then you should be able to set the jockey wheel at the right height each time before unhitching.

Unfortunately, I can’t do his, because I need to have the jockey wheel assembly almost at its highest to allow the van to start it’s journey up my slightly inclined driveway without the rear corner steadies hitting the ground. Once on the drive, I always have to unclamp and adjust if I want to be able to level the van once it is in situ at the top of the drive.
