Lidl Tronic battery charger

I bought model T4X - (KH3157 on the back) about 2 years ago, its been brilliant. I recomended one to a friend recently and he bought one, there is a slight model ref. difference - T4X SE, and the colour is different but the LEDs etc are very similar. Unlike mine, when the battery is fully charged only one LED remains lit, the power on LED (item No. 1 in the booklet, a circle with a line poking out of it). Anyone out there got one of the latest ones and is this correct? The booklet I think suggests that it is, but it is badly worded / translated. My friend thinks it is faulty.

I bought the Lidl one about 2 months ago and mine shows two lights when the battery is fully charged - one red LED to show it is on car and a green LED to show battery fully charged. When I disconnect the power lead, i.e. switch off at the 13 amp socket outlet, you have to start the battery charging sequence up again - push button until you select car battery. Within about a minute of doing this the battery LED changes from red to green.

Thanks, thats the same as mine, is yours a KH3157 like mine (ref on the rear) or does it say on the front T4X SE ?

Perhaps he has got a duff one. It does actually charge the battery, but then ends up with this one LED on

My charger is the T4X SE so the same as your friends. If the battery has a too low voltage initially or the battery is open circuit then the charger will switch back to the just the on LED, circle with a vertical line above.
