you could look at the Lunar range they are light weight we have a 2000 model lexon eb-surprisingly light for a fixed bed model

Sorry if this is stating the obvious but your recommended weight would be 85% of the cars kerbweight. 1600kg sounds like you've got a pretty big car so you should be okay towing most vans.

Hi Richard, The Maximum Permited Towing Mass (MPTM) stated by car manufactures have no relation to the 85% guide figure suggested for caravanners. Some cars are quoted as being able to tow more than thier kerb weight (i.e. Discovery's MPTM = 3500Kg) whilst some are significantlt less than thier kerbweight. You have to check the details of your specic model of car.
