light weight awning

just brought my first van now all i have to do is buy an awning have been looking at light weight ones, a link http://www.camperlands.co.uk/store/erol.html#1X0.Has anyone used these are they any good compared to the normal ones.

Do you mean a porch awning like the scenic or are you talking about a full awning?

Hi Darren

They appear to be a large version of a lightweight porch awning. They are not a full awning as they do not fit fully into the entire awning rail.The two sides where they meet the caravan are not "fixed" to the caravan as a full awning would be.The roof section however utilises the awning rail so is waterproof.

If there is wind driven rain I suppose it could blow in through the sides but that rarely happens.

What they dont give is the protection of a full
