Lightweight four birth caravans for £3000

Hello I have an Avondale Avocet (miro of 965kg), which I tow with a Ford Focus 1.8 tdci 115bhp 2002. I don't want to buy a bigger car yet but as I have a child on the way I want to upgrade to a 4-birth caravan this winter. I like my Avondale and would like another one, and they seem light and well priced compared to some rivals. Could you recommend other maker's who's caravan's are light, I am looking for a late ninety's caravan with a miro of around a 1000kg and I have around £3000 to spend thanks. Nick

You could look at Lunar vans, which tend to be lighter than many others. Cannot comment on their build quality as I have never owned one

I have just bought a 1996 Lunar Planet Eclipse 4 berth for £2000, and have spent an extra £1000 on repairing the fridge, water heater, aks3004 hitch, service and a couple of other little repairs and it is now ready for the road - it has a max laden weight of 1200kg and a MIRO of around 950kg. Sounds like something similar would fit the bill for you?
