The barrel comes out when using the key on an exterior locker. Need to know how is the barrel held within the moulding and how can I secure it? Can anyone help, I would be grateful.

I would suspect you might need a new lock.
If I had your problem I would phone this company and explain the problem to them and they would advise and could probably supply a new lock if needed.
They will have come across your problem before!
