Maybe but it certainly saves a lot of hassle if you have a twin axle. I don't really seem any need on a single axle as you can use a ramp and easy to fit wheel lock.
Thats what I do with my SA Buckman and never having had a TA I cant really comment

I use a L&L on a single axle... The ramp solution is far more complicated, and a real PITA. All you have to do with the L&L is run back over it and stop where the lock aligns. Then pump the L&L! Having struggled multiple times with ramps I couldn't believe that people believe they are a realistic solution!
