Has anyone used a Lockloy aluminium leveller, can you tell me what it is like, how it performs, or whether they are any good?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Phil,

I bought one of these a couple of years ago as it seemed the best way to be able to level the van and use the Alko wheel clamp that came with it.

As a leveller it is superb - from a practical usability point of view they are rubbish! They come provided with an attachment for winding it with a cordless drill - if there is a cordless drill anywhere that can lift around 750kg using the thread on the leveller I would be amazed! I bought a ratchet spanner and this works okay, but if you are lifting more than a couple of inches it is a real pain.

I think that newer models have a different thread rate on the lift screw, but it will still be hard going - and if they have changed the thread to make it easier to lift it will take even longer!

In all, looks good, is stable, but not too practical.

I did not get on with one

Forum mermber advised 12inch and 6inch pieces of wood and build bit by bit. Works great, mover easily mounts each piece one at a time
