Hi Mark

Fantastic site, stayed there earlier last year, we stayed on a pitch just off to the right on entering the site not that far away from the toilet block. Could not fault the site at all toilets / showers emmaculate.

Bought tickets into Longleat with our vouchers from Tesco excellant value, the passport tickets are valued for up to a year if you don't use them in full.

Did the full tour in freelander however monkies got on car not damage to ours but they riped out the rubber from the roof of the car in front of us run from the front of the car to the rear, a bit like the roof rack rubber.

Have a good time.

Hi

Longleat is a very good site, stopped there several times. There is a small childrens play area on site, pitches are level and easy to get on.

You can book to go on the safari bus, tickets available from the Kiosk by Pets corner, can't remember how much it costs but in our eyes worth every penny as it stops the monkeys doing damage to the car. The monkeys are well known for damaging cars.

We have only stopped at Longleat during school holidays, around bank holidays, the safari bus does get booked up quickly, we go first thing.

There are supermarkets for supplies ar Froome and Warminster.

Kids want to go back to Longleat again. Have stopped there for the past 4 years on route from the south, will definately be returning again, probably next year.

Great to hear the reviews for Longleat - we're booked for October half term. Delighted to hear that there's a safari bus as we were worried about monkey damage!

Really looking forward to it. Rob's parents are coming along too so we might even manage a meal out without the kids!

Be aware - technically the Safari bus is only for those with soft top vehicles, or those arriving on public transport.

Tell the ticket seller you've arrived that way, or been dropped off by family and you'll have no trouble.

Get there early though to buy your tickets, there's only so many available!

The site is literally a 3-4 minute walk from the ticket kiosk, just outside of pets corner.

We were there 18 months ago and it was brilliant! Couldn't hear the lions, but you certainly get to know the timetable of the tourist boats.

Regards,

Lee.

I am pretty certain that you have the option of using the Safari bus however you arrived, I know we considered it last time and do not remember any information to the contrary.

In the end we wanted to use the picnic area so went in the car.

If you are staying at the cc site you will have arrived on foot anyway.

There are some rallies held at Longleat in the grounds as well - last time we were on the hillside overlooking the house - brilliant views.

We have booked Longleat for later in the year, I had not considered our dog though, are dogs allowed in the grounds of Longleat? If not hubby and daughter will have to go alone.

Trudy

dogs allowed in grounds but not on safari. kennels provided at entrance, we left ours and had no problems, take favourite toy or blanket and own water and bowl, water is provided but sometimes can be warm or stale, staff on hand at all times in kennels.
