Fascinating link. Loved that putting the face of Adolf Hitler on it during WW2 was considered “ unbritish”.

In school we called it Skid Paper for obvious reasons.

In naval establishments and ships each piece was printed “Government Property”. Dire consequences if caught smuggling any out 🙂
