Hi I've been looking for a 12v tv for the van and i've come across the Cello C22EFF Traveller 22" HD LED TV.

Has anyone got this TV? and how do you rate it?

The TV plays DivX, it's HD and has a good respose rate for gaming. I've heard all the tv have crap speakers but thats not a problem as i'll be running a seperate 5.1 system.

I also need a mount thats strong and has a plate back to spread the weight. What has everyone got?

I found this one but not sure as it's made from Engineering Grade Glass Filled Nylon what ever that is it isn't metal

Please keep us up to date with which sites you will be visiting if you will be using a 5:1 system in your caravan so we can avoid them!

Love it when people jump to conclusion......

I'm fitting a 5.1 system to allow us to use lower volume when the kids are asleep. By having speakers in all corners allow us to have the volume lower than having the speaker on a higher volume set as you are sat further away. This is the same reason i have 5.1 at home set to 5 channel.

Before you say what about just adding more speakers? The cost of individual speakers is higher and you would noramly have to cut holes to fit them. With the satellite speakers in a 5.1 setup they are compact and you can just use wall mounts.

The caravan needs to have been designed for a TV wall mount - retrofix is impractical

Why is that? The wardrobe that im aiming to fix it to is next to the living room by fitting a wall mount with a large front and back plate i would be spreading the weight distribution across the wood and not having a large weight in one area.

I suggest you use a clip-on type fixing (as we do) and remove the TV whilst travelling so the are no dynamic stresses on the fixings. The TV travels face down on one of the beds.

Obviously you missed the smiley at the end of my post, but here it is again?
