Looking for site recommendation

We're going to be heading back north to Central Scotland after spending some time at Longleat in May and looking for somewhere to break the journey for a couple of nights approx two thirds of the way home. Preferably relatively close to the motorway (M6),around Lancaster or Morecambe perhaps?

Site doesn't need to have club house. Looking for somewhere suitable for two adults, with clean toilet/showers, quiet site close to somewhere for a day outing would be fine.

Been to Blackpool loads of times, so prefer somewhere else for a change although the C.C. site there is very good.

Any recommendations?

The C.C. site Low Park Wood, Kendal about 3 miles from M6. Quiet and full facility with i believe new shower block this season.

I was about to recommend the same as Hamer.

If you go there look at the board in reception where they hang the keys and if 28 is there ask for that. The wardens call it the honeymoon suite. It's all secluded on it's own.

Thanks Hamer and Lord B, I've just had a look on the C.C. website at that one, looks good and breaks the journey nicely. Just leaves us with about 150 miles as a final stage home.

So unless someone comes up with something better you two will win the prize, just a pity there's two of you as I'm not able to split it 😀).

This is literally 5 minutes from M6 and is 3 miles from Kendal.It is an adult only site,small and excellent toilet facilities.We overnighted there a couple of years ago on our way home to Scotland and would definitely use it again.
