loose wing mirrors

the wing mirrors on our 06 plate jeep cherrokee have become loose, we think its due to attaching the caravan towing mirrors, has any one else had this problem,and does anyone know how i tighten jeep wing mirrors,OR do you think it will be a costly trip to the dealers, thanks, jj
 
If themirros are electic folding type then try folding and unfolding a couple of times - they may have taken a bump and go out of kilter. If manual folding then try putting each in different positions and ensure you get a good 'click' between postions. if you don't then the detent mechanism may not be working correctly.

Final try, spray a little WD40 into the hinge and try again - if still floppy then I'm afraid it's off to the dealer.
