hey LB, I've been looking at sites down in Cornwall for our summer hols and I'm sure I had seen you recommending Carnon Downs??

We have also looked at Looe CC site, just basically need somewhere nice to stay for approx 10 days, need shower block and stuff to keep the kids (14 & 16) amused.

Carnon Downs is excellent Mark,mas lots of others on here will tell you. It has the poshest shower block I've seen where everything is en-suite, shower, wash basin, toilet etc in each cubicle. In the other block they have a family bathroom with corner bath.

We booked a super pitch and it was massive. The main benefit of the pitch was not filling up the AquaRoll or emptying the WasteMaster. It has dog walks and a football pitch. With it being sited at Truro you are within striking distance of most of Cornwall, north and south.

Liz's site is also just outside Truro and I was hoping to go and have a look but I couldn't find it.

Another site which is excellent is Treamble Valley CC site which is near Newquay which may be better if you have kids of that age although Carnon Downs isn't that far from Newquay.
 
Cheers LB. am I right in thinking that Treamble Valley is quite a sloping site?? that put me off a bit.

Go for it B F carnon downs is fab, stayed there 4 years running in March, great for exploring west cornwall south or north its not far from either
