As if a house with 3 children (12, 10, 7) a toy poodle (8) a brace of rabbits, a tropical fishtank, and the koi in the pond wasn't enough, the 7 week old Cavapoo arrives on Sunday!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and the school hols are getting too close!!! Think I'll leave the washing in the machine and go car hunting (again)

Hi Martin
You had me stumped there for a minute! They look very cute and at over £500 a pop for what is basically a mongrel whoever thought of making up these fancy names for cross bred dogs was on to a sure fire winner

A friend of Herself bought a Labradoodle for a tidy sum, it's a nice dog which the friend absolutely dotes on. I hope that the rest of your menagerie will accept the new arrival and at least the pup will help to keep the kids occupied during the long summer break.
Time to head for the showrooms methinks

Martin, whatever do you do with all your spare time?????? I hope you have explained to your poodle that the new baby is supposed to look like that!!! I am really surprised by these new and imaginatively named dog breeds. When I was a youngster I had a yellow lab, Rosa that had an an illicit affair with black standard poodle, Sindbad, the 7 puppies were a strange assortment, some smooth haired and some curly in both colours.I thought I was fortunate to find them all good homes free of charge. Now I could have advertised them as Poolabs I suppose.I hope the new puppy settles in well and you dont have too many disturbed nights!Wait till you retire you will have even less time to get anything done.Well thats what we have found anyway. I think it has something to do with always having "tomorrow" which suddenly becomes "today"Carry on the good work!!!

Our local rag every week has adverts for a concoction of crossbred names asking ridiculous prices. I'm not saying these dogs aren't as adorable or less healthier as the two pedigree parents but Parksy is right, years ago they would have been called a mongrel and given away and sadly if owners couldn't be found they were drowned. A lot of people are cashing in on their irresponsibility as dog owners by not having their dogs neutered/spayed.

All the best with the pup and I hope it's soon housetrained.

I totally agree the price for a cross breed is awful!!!!!!! However when two in the house are allergic to dogs the cross makes a change from the ordinary poodle which we already have! Gotta go feed time!! Showroom, no chance now!! still terrific fun!!
