Do you mean Lower Wood Farm at Mautby, Caistor-on-Sea, Norfolk? (page 416 CC Directory)

If so, this is one of our favourite Norfolk CL's and we can recommend it. If you like to be on a spacious CL in the heart of peaceful countryside, with views over a horse paddock and a reed bed stretching away into countryside in front, this will suit you. It even has a resident Barn Owl, which can be seen quartering the reed bed from the caravan window most evenings.

The CL has electric hook-ups, WC, laundry room, games room and an indoor swimming pool.

The owner is friendly and helpful and has converted the original farm buildings into really nice holiday cottages.

The access road is long, shared by a farm and dwelling and is quite bumpy until you get to the final section which is ok, but a bit of care is required.

We've been here and would agree with everything meals says. A top class CL. Might be busy in the summer though as the site also has holiday cottages sharing facilities.

We've caravanned here several times in July and the beauty of staying on a CL at this time of year is that however busy the holiday season gets, there are only ever 5 caravans on site. I forgot to mention earlier that the CL is adults only.

Thankfully, we've had great weather every time we've been and being in shorts & T-shirts most days, we've not had cause to use the laundry yet. We don't use the swimming pool, but when we've chatted to caravanners who do, they've enjoyed it.

Families staying in the holiday accommodation are usually out and about during the day, so it's fairly quiet. They have their own toilet facilities and rarely use the one for CL use.

They have a website for the CL: www.cl.lowerwoodfarm.co.uk

For the cottages: www.lowerwoodfarm.co.uk
