Lowther Park - Cumbria Comments on this site needed

Looking at booking Lowther Park just outside of Penrith shortly for a weekend stay - all comments on this site and its facilities would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

We were permanaently sited here before moving to our current seasonal site in 2006. Its a nice site, quiet and within easy reach of the lakes. Dont be put off by the proximity to the M6 when you look at the location on a map, its really quiet.

Nice "country" surroundings, the site has a river running through it with woodland walks and fishing. there is a bar and well stocked supermarket. Usual facilities for kids.

The site was patrolled at night by wardens, and we didnt have any problems with late night noise or rowdiness. I would return again. You will have a good time.

Hi folks, we had a trip to Lowther last year and really liked it and hope to go back after Easter. We had no complaints at all would recommend and great for walking.

Dan, a great site, only down side is that you can mis out on the sunshine because you are stuck in amongst the trees, but if you like the getting back to nature thing it is the site for you.

Liked the on site pub

We've visited Lowther Park a few times for short breaks, with and without the kids! Agree with all the previous comments, it is a lovely site, toilet block and showers were immaculate each time. There are a lot of statics and seasonal pitches, however, it has always been peaceful, never any bother with noise. Nice walks by the river too.Very pleased overall, can recommend it.
