LPG Stations on route

Can you tell me if there is a website, which give you a list of garges who sell LPG. We where in Burnham-on-Sea the other week and we could not find a garage.

We headed back to Wales thinking that we would be able to get LPG in the Services, but they did not sell it either. Luckly we had enough unleaded to come home or we would have run out. I know that the you can get petrol and diesel cans incase your run out, but you cannot do anything about it if you only run on LPG!

Also my local garage that sell LPG also sells a map of the UK where LPG sites are listed.

Such a map is also available from the above site.

I have also found lists of LPG stations on websites but they are not always that useful as the address sometimes gives no indication of exactly where they are.

BUT - using the post code of the site listed and then going to www.streetmap.co.uk enables me to print of a local map of the area.

Down in the wilds of Cornwall last year this was especially useful as we were miles from the main routes where LPG was plentiful and this method enables us to find a small aggricultural machinery sales outlet that sold LPG only a few miles from where we were staying.

We are to Polmanter, Halsetown, St. Ives for our main holidays, so I had better check this out now.

There is an LPG autogas station on the crossroads of the Bridgewater / Accomodation and Bleadon road and a BP at Lower Weare. And at least 10 within 20 miles of Burnham.

They are all on Garmin Satnav Point of Intert and other GPS POI downloads.

It took me about ten or so seconds to find them!

I just picked at random Rhayder in Wales and it tells me of 5 stations within 20 miles for LPG + nearly all other regular stations and of course the sat nav will take you there.

Small garmin I3 will do the same for about

Thanks for that, we were lokking to by a Tomtom but one seems to have more to offer. Do you have to pay each year to download updates?

Alyson, the problem with the map is it's alreadt out of date! I use the LPGA list, and download a new one every
