At that age, condition is everything - Lunar caravans are lighter than the equivalent layout/equipment from other makers - just make sure it's a local dealer so any problems can be fixed - that applies to all brands!
 
I would advise your brother to request to look at the service history for the caravan, this 'should' show if the caravan had any history of damp, this applies to any caravan,
That make of caravan received the nickname of Leaky Lunars. Wether it was true or not I don't know.
 
I have a lunar venus and can't fault it ( 2016 ) much better than a modern van ,just search on here for Scary Swifts, expensive Eldis, Badly built Bailey's, the list of horrors in new built vans is as long as your arm.
