LUNAR 1991 KT 12 CHARGER UNIT PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,

All the 12 volt equipment in the van works and it is a brand new battery.

When hooked up to the car the battery gets charged up .

When we are on hook up on site, the 240 volt TV, Lamps etc work and so does the 12 volt equiptment, however, the Kt 12 is meant to run the 12 volt equipment with a 240 volt supply, and charge the battery at the same time but it doesn't,The 12 volt equipment runs down the battery.

please can anyone help,

Hello Karen

It sounds as though your charger is not working on mains power. This could be simply a fuse replacement, or some thing more serious.

If the fuses are ok, then it is not really possible for us to diagnose your problem over the forum. - you will almost certainly need to seek the help of a professional.

Agree with John, the KT12 without 'SM' on the end dates your charger to the very early 90's, good as it was in it's day, sadly in my opinion it will most likely need replacing.

However a good old fashioned TV repair man should be able to get it working again!
