Lunar Automotive New MD

It appears that a new director has been appointed , Kevin John Coffey , and that the registered address is now in Malborough , Wilts. Nickolas Marks has resigned .
Change of Director effective August 2020 but only just recorded by compnies house 11/03/2021

What now ??
 
Difficult to understand what this is about. Virtually everything has been sold off, there is apparently only some macinery stored in Blackpool, although I am not sure what is happening there. The name may have some value but not a lot. It looks too late to revive the business, but there could be some value in a business selling spares in the short term.

Things were staggering along so slowly at the end of 2019 that revival of Lunar was questionable - with Covid restrictions for a year I think we now have to regard it as a deceased brand.
 
I thought they had been taken over by South African MEWA Group, founded by Cecil Marks who you might assume to be related to the named NIckolas Marks. Just checked the website which appears to be active with the August 2019 change noted. Also checked some dealers that still advertise Lunar vans for sale. Is there something I have missed?
 
I googled Lunar Caravans and went to the website and there is a statement regarding 'the future looks bright' and the info about MEWA.
 
Checked a couple of dealers on line for used vans, they seem to have used Lunars avaialble but not much else, may be hard to sell even allowing for the shortage of used vans?
 
There were certainly problems at the end of 2019 but this seemed to be down to the factory which was in very bad c ondition and owned by the previous owner of Lunar. This required them to move and that was underway and things were looking up until the lockdown. Quite simply with the factory shut and with no potential sales the business looks to have been under massive financial pressure and the buyers would not, or could not, finance the company through the lockdown and just look to have abandoned it. They had come up with new models and prototypes, so it looked as though they wanted it to suceed initially.
Given the way caravan sales have gone if it had got through lockdown the company might have had a future, but I think we have seen the last of it.
