Hi Dustydog,
Thank you for your good wishes.
I do realise that the first port of call is with the dealer, and I'm lucky in the respect that I have a long and good relationship with my dealer (indeed on occasions we have socialised with the owner who I would regard as a friend as well as a businessman), and indeed he was horrified with some of the faults (some of which were picked up and rectified by his staff prior to us seeing the 'van). In fairness to him personally, he probably wouldn't have viewed the 'van before we did. However, it's up to Lunar's quality control (or more the lack of it) that the 'van left the factory in the state that it did, and has left one very disappointed and annoyed customer.
I understand that the Lexon SE in particular has been a huge success story, and on the face of it, it could be a cracking caravan. Indeed, my wife and I were invited by PC to view the three caravans with this layout, and whilst we were quite happy with our previous caravan (Abbey GTS), the Lunar at the show (with the promised revisions for the production models) ticked all the boxes. However, this in no way should compromise quality, especially in the business sense, because what Lunar should be after is repeat customers. Will I return to them, I very much doubt it.
I will keep you posted.
Thank you for your good wishes.
