Hi Jane

I don't actually know much about Luners but if you are buying from a reputable dealer I can't see there will be a problem- presumably you will get at least a years guarantee and a 2001 van really shouldn't be having any problems with damp whatever make it is.

Hi Jane,

I've just been having a rant about this very caravan. My 'van has been leaking around the window seals - result

Hi I am not suprised that your LUNAR LEAKS .I had one I found extensive damp at 3 years ,around the wheel arches ,both front side windows ,and the floor de laminated Both dealer and Lunar didnt want to know ,,NEITHER DID I WHEN I RENEWED THE VAN.

Idont know how they stay in business, surely most of us know that they make vans that leak and customer relations is as poor as their products .

I hope your problem is resolved and you enjoy your new van .The only reason i am writing this is it may prevent others from falling into the same trap as so many others have Coljac

well now i'm fed up !!! if only this post had been on earlier ! have just bought a 2004 lunar zenith, had no idea they were renonwed for damp, will have to keep an eye on that !!didnt know about the non-transferable warranty either, dealer failed to mention that bit!!

Iwonder if any managers at LUNAR or any LUNAR dealers read this forum ,[on second thoughts no dont be silly cant expect them to have any interest in what their customers think],.But just on the off chance may be they could respond to the critisism and give us some answers. And pigs were seen flying over Preston.

TINA Ihope my coments about Lunar did not upset you I was only speaking from my own experience I hope your van will be a good one ,lets be honest Lunar do produce some great lay outs

My advice to you would be make the dealer do a damp test while you watch [he would do that if you were part exing to him .If you are not confident to do this find someone who is .If the dealer will not do a damp meter test ,,he has got something to hide.I would also buy a damp meter and carry out your own tests regularly .If you find damp the sooner it is cured the better.

Ihope all this is accedemic and that your new van will give you years of enjoyment Coljac PS let us all know how you get on.

the van is six months old and still has that "new" smell about it!it hasnt got damp at the mo ! all the window seals are good and other potential damp points, the things you stated have at least given me fore warning and I can check intermittently, where as before I probably wouldnt until it was too late, you certainly havnt put me off as you say the van is all we want layout wise but I have found your honest comments beneficial, forewarned is forearmed !!!!!(that doesn't sound right !!!!) thanks
