Luxemburg City

Hi,
We visited Luxembourg earlier this month and stopped at Camping Bon Accueil it is an ACSI site and if you have the card it is only 12 euro a night. It is very pleasent and clean, and is on the edge of a nice municipal park. And only a 15 minute bus ride to the centre, or a 15 min bike ride on a excellent signposted bike path. We spent a couple of days there and found it ideal for the city. Hope this helps

I agree with Emmerson. There are plenty of cities that I can think of that are more interesting than Luxemburg. Apart from the casemates it doesn't seem to offer anything extraordinary. The surrounding countryside is quite pleasant, though.

Have a look at www.camp-kockelscheuer.lu . Two and a half miles from the city, bus runs from near the gate, mini-market on site also eaterie - but with limited menu. Better choice of menu, if you want to eat out, in nearby sports centre. Small play area. If you go into the city and want to visit the Royal Palace book early. We have tried three times only to find it fully booked, next English tour only after we were to move on and, finally, palace closed for re-decorating. ( Think they had people in to do it though - the people we could see up the ladders didn't look anything like the people you see on the postcards. )
