I knew that last years experiment proved that we caravanners weren't at fault. I thought they were going to try to find another solution for this stretch of motorway.

I didn't know they were going to re-impose the restriction irrespective of the research findings.

Why not declare the nearside lane a 'crawler lane' like they have on other sections of motorway and make ALL slow moving traffic use it rather than single out specific groups. This works OK on the M25 at Waltham Abbey and the M6 eastbound between Coventry and the M1 where there are these long, not particularly steep but never ending inclines.
