M5 near Bristol mid 80s

Nothings changed! Note how many caravans heading South West and how small they all look.Copied from another caravan forum
They were small in those days - our 1983 Ace Globetrotter was a 4-berth with a 5th berth option, it was 13'8" inside length (4.2 m) and had a net weight of 650 kg and a gross of 800 kg - but I suspect it was nearer 900 kg after loading. I towed it with a Ford Escort mk2 1.6 initially and then with a variety of company Vauxhalls from Cavalier to Senator.
