It will stay on as the pressure switch is asking for the pump , even without a pump fitted. the LED will be on ( the LED doesn't monitor current only voltage at the pump contacts)

Also switch off your master switch, that should kill 12V supply the caravan systems, such as lights and oven ignitor and the pump supply.

Hi Ian
So my question is will it drain the battery if its in storage for a couple of months , or is there a way to turn the light off , as you can tell I'm new to caravanning, thank you for your reply

The evidence you have provided suggests that an abnormal situation has arisen, as the light is not responding as we would expect. we are therefore guessing.

Problems like this where there is an abnormality, are difficult to accurately diagnose over a forum. We might have a lucky educated guess that might point to the problem, but its far easier if the technician to be able to look and probe in person. An experienced electrician would use an iterative approach where a few checks will quickly lead to the likely cause.

You could always pull the 12V battery fuse in the EDU( second from right in attached photo)

There are times when the door is open and the sun shining that I look at the LED for my pump and I'm convinced it's on..............But it's just refractions.🫣

When did you purchase the caravan and was it bought from a dealership? It does sound as if the 12v master switch has not been switched off? This is different to the 220v mains switch.

We had a similar issue with our caravan when purchased new last year. In our case all of the LED lights above the door would illuminate after using the tap and they would stay on. In the end the dealer replaced the entire PSU under warranty as the fault was in that rather than any of the circuits feeding the LED. The dealer had diagnostic kit to check all functions of the PSU so might be worth trying to find a dealer with diagnostics to run checks rather than guesswork.

Good morning All
Thank you for your valuable posts and a warm welcome .
So this morning I took out the fuse for the pump and disconnected the battery for an hour, I then replaced the fuse with a new one and reconnected the battery and it now works fine . It switches off and on no problem , I done it 3 times just to make sure it wasn't a fluke.
I want to thank everyone for there help .

Regards

Steve
