Make of Awning

Hi, I'm hoping some one can jog my memory about a make of awning I read about, probably a couple of years ago now.

It was marketed as a revolutionary new design, having far fewer poles than usual. It just had one horizontal pole across the front with a leg on each side which lay at 45 degrees.

Does any one remember them? Even better would be some info from an owner!

Hello Tony

Im not sure if this is any help on the make of awning you are after but have seen a picture of one in the manual by haynes called The Caravan Handbook in the section under awnings. My handbook gets left in the van. I hope this is of some help. Im sure somebody else can help as well!

Gary.

I think you may be referring to a Khyam Futura Awning, which they no longer manufacture,It is very easy to put up,the piece you pull through the awning rail is six inches wide, to which you zip on the main part of awning. The front transverse pole is the pulled taught and secured with pins.Peg out the corners and tension with the side poles, which as you say sit at about 45 degrees to the ground, they have a special angled foot with a spike on it you can set into the ground to stop it moving. All in all a very good awning. As you can probably tell from above I have one,if somebody more computer literate than me tells me how I can post a couple of pictures on here.
