I wont go into any details as I for one found this article in todays paper very upsetting.
I would just like to ask though........would the owner of the Mercedes car like to sit in it himself for approx.5 hours with all the windows shut???

sadly Ade there are dog owners who are as thick as a brick. They deserve to be flogged and banned from having animals for life.
Only last year there was public outcry when a doghandler police officer left his fully trained dog to die in the back of his "oven". The Courts were not lenient with him.
As for the Merc, if see that scenario again, you can always call the RSPCA and police. They will break into the car without hesitation and rescue the suffering animal.

I'm afraid I wouldn't wait for RSPCA or Police!!!!

As a dog owner I can say you are absolutely right Martin.
However what happens when the 6 foot muscle bound yobbo owner turns up?
Also what is the position on the Law regarding responsibility for paying to fix the damage?
I have this horrible feeling there is a possibility the rescuer could end up as the villain of the piece
