Hi All
I'm interested in experiences / advice on making up the front double. We've seen advice that the best way to do this to achieve a flat 'bumpless' surface is a) upside down / bottom of cushions up (flatter surface) and b) bottom seats to either end - filling the middle with the back cushions (which puts the 'lump' of the bottom cushion at the head and feet).
It sounds a logical way to achieve best comfort - but I've found that having the back cushions in the middle puts them at the hip - and as they are not connected - they give too much - irritating / pulling on our backs.
I've tried instead bottom cushions together head first and middle (lumps at opposite sides - one at the head - the other around the knee), filling in the feet end with the back cushions. This is better on the hips - but introduces a lump in the legs - which isn't there if the bottom cushion is at the feet.
Any ideas - different ways of laying out the cushions?
We've added a 1 inch mattress topper (wanted light for weight and moving around every day) - which seems to do the trick as far as softening the cushions (it's soft enough for us as far at that is concerned). I'm not sure whether a 2 inch one would hide the lump we've introduced - or if a different solution is better?
cheers in advance
