Oops my wife had cateracts removed in 2013, but did not contact DVLA. She’s not worn glasses for driving since. After I had my cataracts done I declared i didn't need glasses anymore and they accepted it.

Technically she's breaking the law every time she drives - particularly difficult if her licence photo shows her with glasses on - I'd suggest she notifies DVLA and gets a new photo done if necessary.Oops my wife had cateracts removed in 2013, but did not contact DVLA. In 2013 she still had a paper licence and hadn’t reached renewal age. Since then her passport and licence photos are without glasses. But it’s worth bearing in mind as she is down for her annual eye check soon. So if she’s recommended glasses she will have to notify DVLA.Technically she's breaking the law every time she drives - particularly difficult if her licence photo shows her with glasses on - I'd suggest she notifies DVLA and gets a new photo done if necessary.
