I am thinking of purchasing a full caravan cover, I am aware that the market leaders are Pro Tec & Specialised Covers, however they are quite expensive. I see that Towsure are offering the Maypole cover at a very good price, it is 4 ply and is breathable, so can anybody give me a personal view on this product.
Appreciate any help you can offer me.
Regards,
George

I have used made to measure covers by the makers you mention but for last 4 years I have used a Maypole cover that fitted my last van and also my present Pegasus. I have to take the Status arial off the van before putting the cover on but this appears to be the only disadvantage. The Maypole cover I have is well made has zips bothe ends on the near side, so not quite as convienient as a door matching the caravan, but to me not a problem. Much cheaper. I would not go back to a made to measure.

Hello Henry,
Thank you for your prompt reply, it is just what I was looking for, and more. The fact that you have used the leading makes, and are now very happy with the Maypole product, is very reassuring.
Can you give me an idea of what is involved in removing the Status Aerial?
I look forward to receiving any further help you can give me.
Regards,
George

If you have the triangular shaped Status arial that can be turned and raised, not sure of the model numbers, it is an easy job. Un plug the lead from the arial where it plugs into the internal Status amplifier, and release the internal locking nut allowing yoyu to raise the arial. The arial can then be comletly withdrawn from outside the van and the hole that is left is then sealed with the red plug that was supplied with the arial. Hope this helps.

Hello Henry,

Thanks for this additional information, it has made my decision much easier, which is to order the Maypole Cover. I will do this in a few weeks time, as we intend to have a further mid week break in early November, before setting the van up for winter.

Appreciate you help and input.

Best regards,
George
