Hi anyone stayed at this site Meathop Fell, can you walk for your groceries, is their a pub in walking distance.

Thinking of Changing a weeks holiday from Pembrey CC as we have heard it could be busy first week of August with the Children off School.

Hi - Meathop Fell is a grand site, with excellent facilities and when I was there (2007) the wardens were excellent.

The nearest shopping is Grange over Sands, and depending on your walking capability is a fairly easy walk. about 3+ miles.

Do try the coffee shop opposite the lovely park, as the walk is justified to feast their lovely cakes etc.
