Members Pictures on Posts not seen....why?

On some posts I see the members picture on the left hand side, whilst on others there is no picture just information if the member is on-line or off-line. Is there a setting on my PC that should be changed so I can go back and see all? I run Vista Home Premium and IE9.

Not all members have used avatar pictures but before the latest upgrade there was a grey silhouette figure in lieu of an avatar which has no gone.
When there is no picture it's because the member concerned hasn't chosen one.

Thanks Parksy and for your reply to my post in the "website" section. Have to say I am finding the lack of picture extremely and quite illogically irritating and I am scrolling past the posts where there isn't a picture. Any chance of the silhouettes back?

I don't think so Mel, they appear to have swapped them for the coloured online / offline indicators.
The silhouettes have faded into the shadows

I can assure readers that the 'grey shillouette' was far more interesting than my actual image; unfortunately my much loved female ginger cat is long gone or I could have used her picture as my alter ego - far more photogenic.

Even I have managed to get my picture on the avatar, so it isnt that hard
