I know this subject has been delt with before but I didnt take much notice at the time----

Just bought a memory foam bed at home and love it, thought it might be good to get a topper for our fixed bed in the abbey.

Is it ok to cut the topper to fit the awkward cut off at the end of the bed? I know the toppers arnt cheap so want to do it right.

thanks in anticipation

Hi Maddy,

We got ours for our fixed bed from Raskelf. If you tell them your caravan model, they have the sizes of every caravan and will cut memory foam to the exact size and shape for your fixed bed.

Best thing we ever got.

I can recommend Raskelf and, if you can make the NEC show, they are likely to have a discount on their excellent products.

Good luck,

Hi Maddie

I don't use them as do not have a fixed bed. Consider this a waste of space as I do not believe in towing a bedroom taking up 1/2 the space. Have never had a problem putting up the bed on our 2 berth van. Also have very comfortable nights with existing seats converted to bed.

Happy Caravanning

Hi Maddy

I have added the memory foam and can't wait to try it out. I didn't cut mine as it only hangs over ever so slightly. I wouldn't have a caravan without a fixed bed. Making beds up and putting away every night/day for a family of 4 doesn't appeal to me. Each to there own. Niki

Hi Madeleine

As has been said you can cut it with wallpaper scissors. I have just had a single size topper made narrower and because it was the full length I took it to a local upholsterer who did it with a saw and has done a lovely neat job.
